PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT As a team player of AZ643 Baseball, I hereby pledge that I will: o Acknowledge that good sportsmanship includes showing respect to my parents, all spectators, opponents, league officials, fellow players, coaches and most importantly to myself. o Congratulate the other team after each game as a demonstration of good sportsmanship o Be a team player and support my teammates. I will play for the team and not just myself. o Applaud the efforts of my teammates and opponents. o Try my hardest and will win and lose graciously. o Show respect to the umpires even though I will sometimes disagree with his/her calls. o Follow the directions of coaching staff. o Learn to take correction as a compliment. o Make every attempt to be on time and ready to play for all games and practices. o Inform coaching staff in a timely manner when unable to attend practices or games. o Will not use abusive or profane language, insult others, or use unfriendly language, taunt or humiliate any other player o Will not fight or threaten any person while at any AZ643 Baseball event, game, or practice. o Not abuse, mistreat, or mishandle my own or any AZ643 Baseball equipment or property. This includes throwing his/her bat, helmet, glove, or any object on or off the playing field at any time. o Wear my hat properly and all my jersey will be tucked in at all times. My hat will be taken off when going in buildings. o Be honest and take responsibility for my actions and results I also agree that if I fail to abide by the aforementioned rules and guidelines, I will be subject to disciplinary action by AZ643 Baseball that could include but not limited to: Verbal Warning Written Warning Player Suspension for game(s) Player suspension for season Player being expelled from the league AZ643 BASEBALL Code of Conduct Page 1 of 4 Updated Feb - 2019 AZ643 retains the sole authority to determine what, if any, disciplinary action is appropriate for any conduct infraction. As a parent/guardian of a team player of AZ643 Baseball, I hereby pledge that I will: o Encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support at all times. o Remember that our kids are encouraged to have fun. o Not engage in unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, umpire, coach, parent, spectator, opponent, or player such as taunting, using profane language, not shaking hands, booing, ridiculing, demeaning, threatening, or negatively confront other players, coaches, spectators, or umpires. o Set a good example by reinforcing positive behavior by applauding good plays by others on AZ643 Baseball teams as well as opposing team. o Be gracious in victory and turn defeat into a learning opportunity toward improvement. o Respect umpire’s decisions, observe all league rules, policies and procedures. o Failure to do so may result in being asked to leave the field, game by an umpire, coach, or official for improper or offensive behavior. o Accept the coaches decision regarding player positions and amount of playing time. o Specific to travel teams: I understand that there is no guarantee for equal playing time or position. o Arrange a meeting or call to discuss problems/issues with a coach call and will not confront/approach a coach or an umpire during or immediately after the game. o Allow the coaches to coach my child and will not coach from the sidelines. o Not distract my child and yell through the fence to get his attention. o Refrain from coaching my child or other players during games. (Ex: coming behind the dugout or entering the dugout to try and coach my child during innings; give inappropriate advice at the wrong time.) The coach should be the only voice. Do not criticize any child’s performance. You are there to provide positive support. o Support the learning efforts of the players, coaches, umpires. o Discourage my child to leave the dugout to speak to us during a game. I will not enter the dugout during a game unless asked by the coaching staff. I will make sure my child has plenty of hydration before the start of the game. o Be responsible for our guests/spectators that we invite to games, practices, and events and assume the responsibility of making sure they adhere to Parent’s Code of Conduct. o Inform coaching staff if my child will not be in attendance or will be late to a game, practice or activity and of any ailment or disability that may affect the safety of the player. I also agree that if I fail to abide by the aforementioned rules and guidelines, I will be subject to disciplinary action by AZ643 Baseball that could include but not limited to: Verbal Warning Written Warning Parental Suspension for game(s) Parental suspension for season Parental removal from any or all AZ643 activities AZ643 reserves the right to release any player from the team for poor sportsmanship by the player and/or the player’s family during games; other reasons to include but not limited to lack of cooperation, poor attitude, lack of commitment, effort or attendance. I specifically consent to allow my child to participate in any of the activities, games, practices or tournaments as a player entered into and sponsored by AZ643 Baseball LLC’s organization (“AZ643 Baseball”) and to use the in-state or out-of-state facilities AZ643 Baseball designates as the location for the team organized events, activities, practices, or games. I also understand that the CCC also applies when out of state for tournament play. Financial Responsibility Includes: o I understand if a player chooses to no longer participate on an AZ643 baseball team, 30-written notice will be needed to shut down dues o I understand that if my child is dismissed or voluntarily leaves, parents are not entitled to a refund and all monies are forfeited that have already been paid. o I understand that if/when my player plays out of state or out of the Phoenix metropolitan area, travel/lodging/meal expenses are my sole responsibility. o New text here o New text here
